This business sucks. Called numerous times text. No response back. Repair man called out sick. Understandable. By why not have other people out on repairs? Then he comes to diagnose. Runs it for 10 minutes figured out a circuit board. But doesn't know why the grinding noise. Said part will be ordered. Been a week part is not ordered. Washer has been broke now for over three weeks. I strongly advise to stay away from this company. Only thought it was good from our
warranty list of repair companies.

R&K was the service provider that my home warranty scheduled to do a repair on my double wall oven. Appointment was scheduled & had what appeared to be a "no show". Called R&K direct & found that they never received contact from warranty company (Sears Cinch) to schedule the job. They scheduled for appt w/in week as they were doing out of town jobs that week. John showed up ready to work, very professional, determined the problem, ordered the part which arrived within a week. Sears/Cinch scheduled R&K to come back out to install within 2 days. Contacted R&K and learned that once again they were never contacted to work within their schedule. R&K got me scheduled. Again arrived on time, rdy to get down to business. The part was defective, an obvious defect able to see, which John referred back to warranty company. Within 2 weeks, and no part received, Sears/Cinch had scheduled another company to come out to do a service call & "determine what the issue was". I called both companies & Sears, only to learn that Sears decided to call a different company to start all over. I might note that the other company had the same poor communication with the warranty company. Sears actually claimed they never scheduled R&K to do the first repair. I've read the negative reviews for R&K and find it appalling that this type of communication breakdown between the home warranty company and the service provider that they contract with could result in the service provider receiving negative reviews. I will certainly keep R&K's number and use, request & recommend them for appliance repair needs in the future. As far as my oven goes, after 7 weeks and 50+ hours on the phone for status/followup Sears/Cinch decided to replace the oven. I'm still in the process of figuring out how this will work. I am hopeful that R&K will do the installation.

I called them once last week and today both times leaving a message and have not received a call back. My insurance sent them out to repair my refrigerator and it’s been almost a week without refrigerator working and it’s expensive to be buying out to eat daily for a family of 5. Thanksgiving is a few days away and it suck’s not having a working unit.

My warranty insurance send this company and every single time I have communication issues with them. The only way to get things done is if you become that annoying customer that calls everyday looking for a status. Business should not be done this way

Lousy communication - service - I had to have them cancel my work ticket in order to have Kenmore assign a new APPLIANCE SERVICE assigned. 1 week with no washer is crazy. Not 1 follow up call from R&K to provide status regarding my ticket service. 1 day after calling all day with no answer, I finally have someone answer after calling 4 times. Once the office staff answered they had no knowledge how to proceed with a cancellation so that Kenmore can assign a new APPLIANCE SERVICE. Definely no recommendation here!

I will try to make this as short and understandable as I possibly can. We have a kitchen full of LG products. All of which are approximately 7 years old. Our French door refrigerator unfortunately took a turn for the worse about one month ago. It stopped cooling on both the the refrigerator and freezer compartments. Fortunately the compressor was still under warranty. It was under warranty for 10 years. We originally called a repair service which charged us $50.00 for the in home assessment to determine what was wrong with our unit. They were to take the $50.00 off of the bill if they were to do the install. But being this company had issues with LG. And was no longer on their list as certified repair service providers. They didn’t seem to be overly excited about doing the repair. Told us that LG was having a lot of problems with their compressors and it could take as much as two months to acquire one. So I call LG support and told them I would prefer to use a service that was on their list. Said they had the compressor in stock and could have it sent overnight if requested. They recommended R&K Appliance Repair our of Hesperia,Ca. Well they said they would be happy to take over the install. I told them I had a ticket already made out by their tech that had come out a few days earlier and had determined that indeed it was the compressor gone bad. In turn, they said they would have to send someone out to make that verification valid, as far of what was the problem. That this house call would cost, $85.00. Non refundable or taken off the bill even if they did the install. Fine. We made a appointment for a few days earlier. The owner of R&K Appliance came out. Looked at the ticket that we were given by the prior tech from the other repair company gave us. Didn’t move the appliance to diagnose or verify that in fact it was the compressor or what ever the issue or problem was with our unit. Told us it was going to cost $ 350.00 for labor to install. The compressor arrived, called them and they sent a tech to install. He spent a couple of hours doing the install and left. We are thinking wow. Finally we can get back to having our unit fixed again. He said wait 24 hours and it should be ready and nice and cold. About 12 hours later a error says something about the fan was working to hard or something to that matter. We opened the unit. It was just as hot as the day it took a dump. We call the owner and told them what had happened. He said he would send the tech back to correct the problem. He shows up a few days earlier and said the condenser fan was bad. That after putting the initial $85.00 + $350.00. To add now $150.00 for the fan would be the best thing to do. That we would have a practically new unit. Since it cost us nearly, $3000.00 when we purchased it. We said why not. Well a week later the fan comes in. The tech comes and installs it. And things are not looking very good at this point. He finally says. I tried everything. Replaced the compressor, the condenser fan. He says the unit is leaking Freon within the unit. Causing rust or whatever his explanation was for our unit more or less is beyond repair. I told you this would be short. So. $85.00 + $350.00 + $158.00 later. A total of $585.00 later. We did ask if we could at least get a refund on the condenser fan which was just installed . But the tech said it was considered a used part now. No go. No apologies or explanation on why they didn’t find out the problem before installing all these parts and yet these parts were not the problem from the get go. We just dumped the unit & Went to Home Depot this morning and bought a Whirlpool.

They are the only local Samsung authorized repair facility. I reported a warranty issue to Samsung, and R&K did respond to verify there was a problem on 5/26/21. R&K said they would contact me in 2 weeks to complete the repair, once parts were obtained from Samsung. That was one month ago. Samsung is unable to get them to respond, and I was unable to get them to respond. Calls go to voice mail.

The service was good. The repairman did a great job. The reason for 4 stars ?and not 5 is when 2 messages were sent there was no reply. I had to step in and remind them that they are in the customer service business and to call back customers who leave messages. I would recommend them.
